Scope of Services and Workflow
- Stock adequate number of 3D glasses at participating theaters.
- Point-of-sale RFID reader scans all 3D glasses distributed to ticket buyers with membership card, and records information in RFID database.
- Customers are advised that the glasses belong to fellow movie club members and requested to return the glasses to the recycle box after use.
- RFID-scanning data allows theater management and cleaning center to monitor the inventory level in real time, and necessary instructions for cleaning and restocking are placed automatically.
- Cleaning facility performs RFID scan and physical count of incoming shipment (or recycle boxes) and reports shrinkage information to the theater with corresponding membership ID numbers. First time delinquent members may receive a gentle reminder to return and exchange the used glasses with a new pair on their next visit. Persistent delinquents may receive more direct messages.
- Clean and sterilize glasses with thorough quality control.
- Scan each pair of glasses for wash count and discard any 3D glasses that exceeds a certain number of wash counts.
- Submit daily and monthly activity reports, including usage count, shrinkage, and available inventory.
- Periodically replenish lost or damaged 3D glasses as per pre-arranged instructions.
- Identify all possible emergency situations and prepare necessary action plans. Possible emergencies include: earthquakes, fire, theft, flooding, machine breakdown, delivery vehicle accidents, extreme weather conditions and labor problems. Conduct periodic emergency drills.
