Reusable 3D Glasses Rental Program
Objective: To provide better quality reusable 3D glasses at a lower cost than disposable ones
The Eco 3D Glasses rental service was developed out of a perceived need to encourage the recycling of millions upon millions of glasses that are used and wasted annually. We have developed a patent-pending system with 3D glasses affixed with RFID chips to maximize efficiency, retention, and logistics/tracking while remaining environmentally conscious by reusing sturdier, higher quality glasses at lower cost.
Combined with movie club membership programs offered by most theater chains, it can provide a win-win solution between the exhibitors and the studios on the pending issue of who bears the cost of 3D glasses. Also, for theaters already equipped with in-house cleaning/sterilization systems, RFID affixed glasses should allow for better inventory control and shrinkage monitoring.
The patent-pending system is compatible with RealD, Dolby, MasterImage and IMAX glasses.
